Our Mission:
|
Develop character, sportsmanship, self-discipline, and humility in our athletes. |
|
|
Identify our most skilled and deserving competitors. |
|
|
Provide funding for them to attend major championships. |
The USA Shito-Kai is administrated entirely by volunteers. There are no administration fees. Even our bank accounts are hosted free of charge by FirstService Bank of Crestwood, Missouri - courtesy of it's executive director Thomas Hagar. (A former karate player himself.) That means 100% of your donation goes to the athletes.
Furthermore, the use of donations is limited to:
Air and ground transport, lodging, tournament entry fees, and required
competition equipment. No donated funds are used for anything
frivolous. Nor are athletes allowed to use funds for anything other than
our stated purposes.
Since 1991 USA Shito-kai athletes have garnered hundreds of awards from the world's premier karate/sport organizations including the:
World Shitoryu Karatedo Federation
(WSKF)
World Kickboxing Council (WKC),
Karate International Council on Kickboxing (KICK),
